TEEN AGE RIOT!

If you think there's anything better to do on a Thursday night at 10pm than listen to the totally sweet riffs and wholesome, sunny goodness of power pop, hosted by two mostly ridiculous roommates at the University of Maryland, then you're dead fucking wrong, dude. Shame on you. [TEEN AGE RIOT x 10pm-MIDNIGHT THURSDAYS x WMUC 88.1FM]

Bring Your Father to Work Night

It was a very special episode of Teen Age Riot this week, with Jerry Lewis and Sam Freedenberg (a.k.a. our paternal units) stopping by the station to deliver life lessons, riff on trade show management, talk about Kindercore Records and their favorite David Bowie albums, and in general, show us young turks how it's done. Andrew called in and enlightened us on cheese availability in Waynesboro, PA. We returned the favor by rocking out to "Snakes on a Plane" in style.

Enjoy!

Songs That We Like To Play On The Radio

Welcome back to the Teen Age Riot blog, after what... a 6 month hiatus? We'll try to be more punctual from now on. This week's theme was "Songs that when we hear them, we want to play them on the radio." Shira was in the studio, as always, and we had an awesome new guest, Jenna Brager, who visited us at WMUC to escape the suffocating ennui of Freshman Orientation and teach us a game about the wild underground world of hink-dinks and hinky-dinkies. We tried launching Diet Coke/Mentos rockets, but our parade was rained on and all we got was a measly 10 foot fountain. FUCK YOU, WEATHER.

We dedicate this edition of Teen Age Riot to the Teen Age Riot dude crew (Andrew, Elliot, and Gabe), who are AWOL around the country, being counselors at cliche Jewish camps and working at the DC Film Festival. Big ups to Mina, Sarah, and Hilary for calling in. Thank you to Master of Champions for being such a ridiculously awesome show, complete with cars acting as cheese graters. Thank you to Brad's clientele for buying beer so fucking early in the morning.

Ridiculously Cute

Thanks for tuning in this week! For those of you who didn't listen, the theme for this week was "Ridiculously Cute Songs." And, for those of you who did listen, the theme was also "Ridiculously Cute Songs." After staying up ALL night playing a marathon game of The Warriors on PS2 (courtesy of Brad's brother), we came to the station armed with our cutest tunes, our friend Sarah Stonesifer, and a seemingly bottomless bag of gummi bears. Here is the result.
